HAZARDOUS WASTE REGULATIONS 2005
With effect from 16 July 2005 it has been illegal to move the following redundant items from your premises without a
Hazardous Waste Consignment Note:
- CRT monitors
- batteries
- fluorescent tubes
Additionally, any business or organisation that wishes to dispose of these items is required to register their premises
as a site producing hazardous waste.
Exceptions to this are Schools, Doctor's and Dentist's Surgeries, Shops and Offices (but not offices attached to a warehouse,
for example) that produce less than 200kgs of hazardous waste per annum - This equates to approximatley 10 standard 17" CRT
monitors.
